ARTIKEL (HALUANPOS.COM) -In the midst of rapid modernization, we often measure the success of education only by academic achievements: exam scores, rankings, or how many students are accepted into prestigious universities. Yet, we tend to forget that the essence of education is not merely to produce “smart people,” but to form individuals with strong character, resilience, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to society.
Schools and the Narrow Lens of Competition
From an early age, children are conditioned to compete in the classroom. They are pushed to memorize, complete assignments, and race for the highest scores. Those who score low are often labeled as failures, while top students are glorified. But in reality, success in life is far more complex than a report card filled with straight A’s.
